Pros

I currently work at Hamilton, Miller & Birthisel and have worked for this firm in the past so this is round two. I missed the firm and the city so much that I decided to move back to Miami from NY during COVID. This is by far my most favorite firm to work for and I have worked in firms in NYC and FL throughout my career. Everyone here is very kind, hardworking and energetic. Many have worked here for a number of years so it’s nice coming back to see some very familiar faces. Goes to show how much people really do enjoy working at HM&B. I think that’s what I like most about the firm is a sense of camaraderie in a busy environment. The Managing Partner is actively involved in just about every aspect of this firm. Extremely hardworking and dedicated to making this firm be the best that it can be. Best decision I've made was to return.

Cons

I have nothing negative to report.

Pros

Free bagels and donuts on Friday. Occasional lunch

Cons

NO support for support staff. Gossip and favoritism are rampant. You can be fired after almost a year because firm thinks "it's not a good fit." That's all. It's just not a good fit. Not, here are some issues we would like to discuss. Just goodbye and good luck. No positive feedback EVER. Way too many cases for one person to ever handle--maybe a robot can do it though. High turnover in this position. Attorneys will tell you how happy they are with your work and then tell management it's not working. There is NO WORK/LIFE BALANCE. Its just work, work, work some more. It is never enough. Their motto is you are only as good as your last mistake!
