Pros

Pay is good; they have remote positions; pretty decent PTO/Sick/Holiday time.

Cons

Computer system is not the best. It's a very old system and takes longer to prepare documents. The training on the computer system is very minimal to say the least. I worked for an attorney who was so disorganized that it made it very difficult to effectively and efficiently do my job as a paralegal. This is a pretty large firm and there appears to be a revolving door with employees. Does not appear employees stay for any length of time.

Free bagels and donuts on Friday. Occasional lunch

NO support for support staff. Gossip and favoritism are rampant. You can be fired after almost a year because firm thinks "it's not a good fit." That's all. It's just not a good fit. Not, here are some issues we would like to discuss. Just goodbye and good luck. No positive feedback EVER. Way too many cases for one person to ever handle--maybe a robot can do it though. High turnover in this position. Attorneys will tell you how happy they are with your work and then tell management it's not working. There is NO WORK/LIFE BALANCE. Its just work, work, work some more. It is never enough. Their motto is you are only as good as your last mistake!
