Bored and Salaried - Anonymous employee Hampton University Employee Review

My position is busy exactly two times a semester: add/drop and finals week. Otherwise it's just days of boredom. You can only organize so many files and answer so many phones. There's a lot of "it's always been done this way" and very little growth. And there's an irritating trend of being expected to know how something is done without anyone ever explaining how and it's not in the handbook either. Overall, not a good work environment for someone that needs to stay busy.
