Pros

Flexible shifts(Usually) - Trading shifts or requesting schedule changes were rarely met with any issue. Rewarding work- Honestly it was simple work once you got used to it. Unload trucks, sort the warehouse, take electronic counts of shipments, stock products to the floor, help customers carry out heavy products with hydraulic carts when needed and occasionally answer customer questions. Friendly and cooperative (in-store)management- The managers and supervisors worked closely with all other employees making them easy to talk to and could see first hand when you need help and with what. Advancement- Very clear and clean cut advancement system laid out for all employees. Time, effort and work ethic are all that are needed to advance. Managers provide regular updates on your performance and bi-annual raises give incentive to improve. Transferring to other company facilities for new positions is also an option.

Cons

Coworkers- While I personally enjoyed the company of the other employees on the logistics team, anytime the store was short handed the sales team would have to assist with work in the warehouse. This resulted in extra work for the logistics team having to clean up behind the sales employees who had no training for working in the warehouse. Corporate Management- In contrast to the managers working directly with the store employees, corporate decisions continued to make working for the company difficult. Threatening to fire those that don't follow the company SOP, demanding results that can't be achieved while following the SOP, not allowing a short handed store to hire more workers and instead attempting to make part timers work 39 hour work weeks(since 40 would make them eligible for full time pay and benefits). There used to a Reddit dedicated to employees venting about what corporate had done this time. I don't know if it's still up now but you get the idea.

Pros

Great benefits, fast paced environment, good teamwork. I liked the hours, you get an education about tools, whether from your coworkers or the customers. And speaking of the customers, they were on the better side for retail. Most are down to earth and easy to converse with.

Cons

Supply chain issues, many parts would never be replenished, despite being featured, advertised, and on display. That would often lead to tensions with customers. Aggressive time constraints on tasks. Sidewalk sales, holidays, and also coincidentally inclement weather days, can be quite busy and therefore stressful. Especially if there's call outs, but if you have a good management team, you'll have good staff that will want to work for them.
