Pros

bonuses if you're a store manager or assistant

Cons

unfair schedule- dont understand how a store manager gets off every sunday and we work every Saturday and Sunday unrealistic pay- how can a supervisor and assitant manager do the exact same job and get paid substantially different? bonuses- yea work hard and sell warranties and subscription plans and your bonus is laughable at best

Thank you for providing us with your feedback. We would not be able to achieve all that we do without hard-working associates like you. We strive to be the best place to work by listening to our associates and learning as we grow and evolve every step of the way. Please know that we regularly monitor associate feedback in our efforts of continuous improvement. We have heard similar responses from associates regarding pay and we are continuously working to improve in this area. For instance, Harbor Freight Tools now offers competitive pay and has increased the starting rates at our stores. We value your suggestions and encourage you to continue to share your feedback, as we pride ourselves on becoming a great place to work. We highly encourage our associates to reach out to their HR Partners if they have any concerns to share or you may email me at culture@harborfreight.com. Thank you for your continued hard work and we are glad to have you on the team!

Pros

Great benefits, fast paced environment, good teamwork. I liked the hours, you get an education about tools, whether from your coworkers or the customers. And speaking of the customers, they were on the better side for retail. Most are down to earth and easy to converse with.

Cons

Supply chain issues, many parts would never be replenished, despite being featured, advertised, and on display. That would often lead to tensions with customers. Aggressive time constraints on tasks. Sidewalk sales, holidays, and also coincidentally inclement weather days, can be quite busy and therefore stressful. Especially if there's call outs, but if you have a good management team, you'll have good staff that will want to work for them.
