Pros

My 90 year old grandpa began shopping at Harbor Freight when it was still a mail order company. A career tradesman, he passed that brand loyalty on to my dad, also a tradesman of many crafts. Harbor Freight has supported my family’s careers for generations, now including mine. I have never in my LIFE seen such great insurance, PTO and 401K plans, nor have I ever had such a supportive and growth-inspiring environment to work in. I look forward to work every day after six months of employment, and I feel proud in my achievements. I love my job.

Cons

Physical labor in a logistics position is mandatory. No tolerance for absenteeism or lateness. Must have an open schedule to be in a supervisor role or above. Pay could be better, but benefits make up for a lot.

Pros

Great benefits, fast paced environment, good teamwork. I liked the hours, you get an education about tools, whether from your coworkers or the customers. And speaking of the customers, they were on the better side for retail. Most are down to earth and easy to converse with.

Cons

Supply chain issues, many parts would never be replenished, despite being featured, advertised, and on display. That would often lead to tensions with customers. Aggressive time constraints on tasks. Sidewalk sales, holidays, and also coincidentally inclement weather days, can be quite busy and therefore stressful. Especially if there's call outs, but if you have a good management team, you'll have good staff that will want to work for them.
