Pros
The pay was reasonable
Cons
The benefits are atrocious. $80 a pay check for a $4000 deductible. A comparable plan at my current and previous employers was between $20-40 a paycheck. You earn vacation incredibly slow I don’t think I earned even a week after being there a year. You also don’t earn any sick time until after a year so if you do get sick you either don’t get paid or they make you use your vacation time. So basically don’t expect to take a vacation for like 2 years. They pay you for 40 hours but will ask you to work 45 and it’s almost guaranteed that your boss will be less experienced, educated, and qualified then you are. It honestly seems like no one there has a clue how to do their job properly. The culture there feels tense like everyone is walking on egg shells, and there are severl people who have no interpersonal communication skills. They constantly talk about saving money, but then they lease everyone on the board Mercedes Benz, and take extravagant trips to Europe saying they are researching other grocery stores and such when in reality they are so far behind the U.S. grocery industry they should really save that money and invest in an automated ordering system for their product. Their retention rate right now is incredibly bad so it’s pretty clear they can’t keep people there.
