Pros
This is my second unit working in the Harris health system. I’ve now worked at both Ben taub and LBJ. The benefits are amazing and the actual people (coworkers) are some of the best people you’ll meet. Ive made life long friends here. Also the patients (while wild) are genuinely so grateful for the care they receive. Harris Health as a whole is an amazing company.
Cons
Management is based on who you know, not what you know. A lot of the managers get into drama and don’t know how to act impartial among staff. It’s very high school with managers. I’ve seen this in both units I’ve worked for. Also, they’ve become more stingy with giving out market raises even though inflation is sky high. I’m currently interviewing with a new company now.
