Pros
I've worked for HT from 2015 to 2016, and it was the best experience I've had working in the retail grocery industry. I've worked for other retail grocery chains which were just alright, but not on the same level of 5 stars that I give HT. One company I do suggest never to work for in grocery chain industry which is down south and that is the Albertson/Tom Thumb stores -their entire management and corporate level employees are abusive, insulting, negligent, harassing, and the list goes on. This happened after Albertson bought Tom Thumb and now they are tearing down the good reputation that Tom Thumb use to have. But back to HT, all stores are not created equal and my experience with HT was always pleasant. I worked alongside the best store manager, the assistant could have used some human relations training. I was able to exercise my skills and experience and was immediately promoted in less than 30 days. HT give the best customer service to its consumers; and working non-stop during peak shopping days and hours are expected. I like working when it is busy because it makes the time go fast and you are not bored. If there is no business, it is hard to give hours to employees. I left HT because my family relocated to the south. I really wish HT was here because I would have transferred instead of having to resign. The south could use a lot of training in how to provide incredible customer service to its consumers. HT is way ahead of the game and surely can show these other retailers how important the consumer is to the operation and life of its business.
Cons
Again, all stores and its staff (team) are not created equal; however, there should be a cap put on those customers that come in the store and abuse the return and coupon policy. This not only set bad examples and hurt those who follow the rules. But it also hurts the sales of the store and the company as whole including the cost of benefits, etc. to the employee.
