Pros

- People are incredibly smart, driven, ambitious, and friendly; lots of employees have been here a long time, which is telling! - Transparency across the company has improved over the years - The company's contributions to employee benefits are significant - Work/life balance is encouraged; mental health days and programs are encouraged; EBRGs are encouraged - Strides have been made to improve pay equity and minority representation across the company - Leadership cares about employees

Cons

The pay is not always competitive, but they make up for it with perks and benefits.

It is also gratifying to see a review like this! Equally, we appreciate the feedback to continue our practice of transparency -- we are committed to doing so. In regard to compensation at HBP, as you note, Harvard Business Publishing's philosophy is to provide a complete package that rewards values-aligned behaviors, pays for performance, and is market competitive. We routinely audit our program to assure it. If you have concerns about any element of your compensation, please raise them with your manager or a member of our Compensation & Benefits team. As your head of HR, I can also be reached at angela.cheng-cimini@harvardbusiness.org. We are willing to engage on any subject and here to support you.

Pros

Hybrid work schedule, benefits, free access to hbr articles, the Harvard name

Cons

Extreme disfunction. Every senior leaders opinion matters so that’s 10 different stakeholders you have to account for. Sr leaders are turning more into a mafia than actual leaders. Toxic workplace filled with politics.
