Pros
- Can be a good place to learn, but highly dependent on your team and supervisor. - Not just "consulting", but you also get to implement often. - Work on a variety of projects. - Unlimited sick days. - People are good to work with. - Can be a good compensation IF you get shares. Otherwise, pretty poor. - Idk much about pension at other companies, but I think its decent here.
Cons
- Work-life balance can be pretty bad. Especially when you have projects in different time zones. Honestly, I work almost every other weekend. - Unless you are hired on into a senior position. The pay progression is terrible. You will find almost no one in the firm in the 3 - 10 year experience range because they all leave due to the poor pay progression. The upper management is very selfish, and horde money for themselves. They don't reward hard work or loyalty. Will take a minimum of 10 years of consistent hard work in this company just to cross meaningful pay. I feel that is not worth it. The only way it becomes worth it, is if you get shares. But, it is incredibly difficult to get them, less than 20% of all employees have shares. - I hate that you are forced to use your vacation days in the winter time. You only get 15 days a year, and 5 of them you can't even choose. So, effectively you only have 10 days. - The company is full of these people that live for Hatch, thinking its the best company in the world. It can be a good place, and I really hoped it would be for me. The potential is there. But, they just don't care to treat you well in the middle years.
