Pros

Havertys has invested a lot of money in their training and information systems. State of the art reporting that assists Corporate Marketing in analyzing their customer base. However, In this struggling economy, they have overcome a lot of obstacles but lost a lot of good workers.

Cons

Each year more and incentives were, removed from the sales associates compensation plan. Since the business is a 100% commission based situation, there are a lot of struggling employees seeking outside supplemental income to survive.

They provided health insurance and 401K contribution

Cons

Very low additional pay for Sales Manager role. COMMISSION only job. Some months I made $14.00, other months I made $8000.00. I was Salesperson on the month many times and still never broke $50K year. LONG HOURS. Many people there work 12 hour days, just to get their sales numbers enough to avoid being fired. Upper management is "Old Boy" mentality.
