Pros

Initially, I was drawn to Havertys for the opportunity to do something different, but stay in the realm of retail. What made me stay was the longevity of staff (you stay because you love what you do), the opportunity for advancement, and their willingness to invest in much needed training. Since joining this company, my growth has increased by leaps and bounds. Havertys not only invests in technology and selling resources, Havertys invests in you... the person.

They provided health insurance and 401K contribution

Cons

Very low additional pay for Sales Manager role. COMMISSION only job. Some months I made $14.00, other months I made $8000.00. I was Salesperson on the month many times and still never broke $50K year. LONG HOURS. Many people there work 12 hour days, just to get their sales numbers enough to avoid being fired. Upper management is "Old Boy" mentality.
