Small county school system, great community feel

Maybe hard to move into administration if you are not from there.

As a local government system, Haywood County appears to be very family oriented and will certainly make its best efforts to retain current employees. Many opportunities to donate sick time to those who need it, participate in local fundraising or volunteer work, and being treated like a human happen here.

Haywood County is a bit behind the times. Slow to respond to change and never the pioneer for new things, HC is very proud of it's roots and resistant to newcomers and new ideas.
