Health Catalyst is a great place to work. There are a lot of great people that work here, the benefits are good, and the pay is reasonable to good. There is a great team atmosphere with team members that look out for each other. Leadership is genuine, caring, and also looks out for team members. There is a focus on culture, which is not just lip service. The leadership team leads by example and has great integrity, which is extremely refreshing. The company is growing and expanding, which opens up opportunities for growth and advancement. There is often flexibility in how you do your job. With the right motivation there are great innovation opportunities as an individual that can make an impact.
Cons
Health Catalyst is a growing company which I feel is at an inflection point. Previously teams have worked hard in a very flexible environments to build diverse processes to deliver great results. The problem is some of these processes do not scale at our current size and technical debt has built up. As our technology offerings have grown and more teams are simultaneously developing and deploying solutions in our client environments, there often isn't sufficient cross team planning and management. This leads to teams stepping on each other’s toes and can lead to unstable results. Support of deployed solutions can be ambiguous and lead to some team members left to pick up the pieces.
