Perhaps too many corporate acquisitions too quickly. We have a hard time incorporating these companies into the Health Catalyst product lines. We had one acquisition a couple years ago that I feel is still lost in the process of being added it, and now in 2020 we have three more. These are ending up as add-ons instead of fully engaged products.
Also, and I think this comes up a lot, there is still a disconnect between the product development group and those positions out on the front lines with the customers. I have been involved in more of the product development cycle this year, and it seems like development is not considering actual usage, but is just building things because they can. Need to focus more on what is missing in our current products and incorporating the technologies from acquisitions instead of just building something new and shiny.
