Pros

Dan's focus on employee engagement as the driving force behind all other improvements we can make in the world is both invigorating and refreshing. I can't say enough about how crucial this focus is, and how great it to see it brought up time and again. He also seems to live the company qualities of humility and respect, which is surprisingly absent among many in positions of leadership. As for the benefits, I think the insurance is pretty good, though you may have a different experience if you've got a family. I like the free headspace account, and the wellness reimbursement has been a boon this year given how unwell everything has been.

Cons

Next to none of the leaders in my portion of the Application Suite group embody any of the cultural values. I've repeatedly been disrespected or mistreated, and every attempt to engage with leaders on fixing this has either been met with dismissals or non-suggestions around what I could do to talk with the offending party. I also can't tell you the number of times that I've been brushed off with the phrase "assume positive intent", or how often leadership fails to live up to the ideal of "courageously...face the truth".

Great Talent & Culture: The people here are highly capable, collaborative, and committed to helping each other succeed. The partnership between onshore and offshore teams works well and is a real strength. There’s a culture of grit and stability that has helped the company navigate multiple major transitions over the years. Mission-Critical Engineering: The work involves complex data infrastructure that requires deep technical expertise. It can be demanding, but seeing these systems run successfully and support real-world operations is consistently rewarding.

Cons

Wage Compression and Retention Risk: Compensation for tenured and high-performing staff has not kept pace with the market for specialized data engineering and support leadership. In practice, tenure can feel undervalued or even penalized. This creates risk around losing institutional knowledge and operational continuity. Stagnant Career Progression: Contrary to stated expectations, strong performance ratings do not consistently translate into meaningful, market-aligned compensation growth. The process of how compensation is benchmarked lacks clarity in practice, obscuring how compensation decisions are made and what is required to advance.
