Thanks for your thoughts. I agree that we have had changes in our strategic focus as we navigate market realities, including a pandemic, record-high inflation, health system economic pressures, and more. I’m grateful we have successfully found a way to continue delivering on our mission with our clients as our partners. Finally, I acknowledge the difficulty associated with the need to reduce our team member base, which cumulatively has affected around 10% of our total workforce during the past few months. While we needed to make reductions in some areas of the company, we’ve also been grateful to see meaningful growth and expansion in our team member base in other areas of the company, like Tech Enabled Managed Services. Our team member base has actually meaningfully grown in terms of total team members in each of the past six years, including 2023. For example, in 2023 we went from 1,242 team members at the beginning of 2023 to 1,390 at the end of 2023, even after the team member reduction that occurred in Q4 of 2023, representing a net increase of 12% in total team members. I am excited about our future growth and direction as we see our end market financial pressure subsiding and our offerings continuing to offer differentiated value to clients. Thanks for your more than three years of contributions to our success! Best, Dan Burton

Pros

Great Talent & Culture: The people here are highly capable, collaborative, and committed to helping each other succeed. The partnership between onshore and offshore teams works well and is a real strength. There’s a culture of grit and stability that has helped the company navigate multiple major transitions over the years. Mission-Critical Engineering: The work involves complex data infrastructure that requires deep technical expertise. It can be demanding, but seeing these systems run successfully and support real-world operations is consistently rewarding.

Cons

Wage Compression and Retention Risk: Compensation for tenured and high-performing staff has not kept pace with the market for specialized data engineering and support leadership. In practice, tenure can feel undervalued or even penalized. This creates risk around losing institutional knowledge and operational continuity. Stagnant Career Progression: Contrary to stated expectations, strong performance ratings do not consistently translate into meaningful, market-aligned compensation growth. The process of how compensation is benchmarked lacks clarity in practice, obscuring how compensation decisions are made and what is required to advance.
