Pros

Established company, strong policies and procedures in place, feeling of pride working with the TRICARE contract and helping our service members. For non-exempt, a lot of overtime opportunities. For exempt, a lot of scheduling flexibility.

Cons

Overtime can be a con when mandatory and many times it was 3 weekends out of the month. Very low bonus amount, if any bonus at all. Outdated systems.

Last position held as a QA was a learning new system for everyone, so procedures were often developed as we went for workflow. Unfortunately, I’ve held two positions as a claims processor with the VA program and QA with the ACD program for the west region, the department contract not renewed, therefore, there was a company wide layoff. Otherwise, I would have loved to continue my time there after 5 years of feeling satisfied with my employment. Hnfs was a employment that had risks for layoffs,
