HealthEquity has been a mess ever since the WageWorks acquisition. Acquisitions always have normal growing pains as systems are combined but here the Exec team doesn’t fully and thoroughly vet out each project’s potential impacts and the clients and employees pay the price for their ill planning. There have been so many “accidental” consequences, that I have lost count with the employee’s left holding the bag on trying to smooth things over with the clients. Clients are becoming fed up and so are employees.
The straw that’s breaking the camel’s back is next. The adage holds true that you learn the real metal of people and a company when doing the right thing is the hardest but it doesn’t make it any less “right” and each person/entity cannot assume “their views/beliefs” are more right than those of others. HealthEquity Exec’s stating all employees should “want a jab if you truly cared about your fellow man” - is not right. A presidential administration blackmailing companies with the threat “to pull federal contracts” - is not right. HealthEquity not fighting back against such intrusion into the workplace and instead using the excuse “it’s not our choice” when the Exec team has made it quite clear they believe in such measures - is not right. Advise to the Exec team: HealthEquity, if you are truly purple, I encourage you to uphold our Constitutional and personal rights versus your own religious and political views. Advise to potential candidates: Beware, on top of the mess this company continues to create with their acquisition projects, this company also pushes their own religious and political agenda over the Constitutional rights of its employees.
