Pros

Managers show an interest in employee development. The company promotes from within more often than not. Benefits are a plus. High-deductible health plan provided by company, but they give a generous contribution to HSA. The office culture is positive as demonstrated by its unique purple culture. Much of this comes from genuine caring about members and clients in ensuring they save their healthcare dollars. Compensation for entry jobs here seems to outpace similar jobs. The last pro is its rocketing growth in the last few years, and the future looks bright too.

Cons

The only con about HealthEquity that I can think of is that hiring managers exhibit a high amount of office favoritism when choosing who will receive a promotion. This is a practice not specific to HealthEquity, but these decisions should focus more on contributions to HealthEquity rather than whom the manager already knows.

Pros

From the very beginning, the experience felt welcoming, thoughtful, and well organized. The recruitment process was smooth and informative, and every interview felt like a genuine opportunity to have real conversations and build meaningful connections. The team was incredibly supportive throughout both hiring and onboarding, which made the transition feel seamless. A great example of the company’s culture is Trailhead, an experience designed to bring new hires together early on and help them connect, learn, and feel part of the organization right away. It’s clear there is a lot of intention behind how employees are supported, especially when it comes to building connection from day one.

Cons

Still early in my time here, but no major cons to note so far.
