Pros
The nursing department was very helpful and kind.
Cons
Not a conducive environment for an entry level therapist to grow. On my first day I was handed a schedule with 7 patients and my second day I had 6 patients. I was not given any proper training or orientation - only a quick review of the computer system and a quick tour of the facility. I do not want to work for a company that is more concerned about seeing high volumes of patients at the expense of properly training their therapists. It is not ethical and does not put the patient first. I was also told that in order to keep up with productivity that I will need to document while seeing the patient (putting their safety at risk) or clock-out to do paperwork. This is illegal. I expressed my concern and asked my rehab director if I could switch to part-time or PRN from full-time status in order to pace myself as a new therapist. HR never contacted me about this so I stepped down from my position. This company is only interested in warm bodies to fill positions in order to make more money, not providing quality patient care.
