Pros
Challenging and meaningful work Competitive pay Excellent benefits Reasonable work/life balance expectations Regular and meaningful recognition for a job well done Regular and transparent communication from leaders Empowered to do what needs to be done Co-workers that feel like family
Cons
Responsible/unlimited PTO - sounds great, but hard to actually put into practice. Fortunately, I had a baseline expectation to work from since I had been accruing a certain amount before the new PTO policy was implemented. I imagine for new employees it would be hard to know how much or how little is acceptable. And when there is no disincentive to not taking time off, like losing accrued time if not taken, it is easy to get caught up in the workload and not take time off to recharge as needed.
