Pros
they promote from within and the building is modern
Cons
I would inform anyone who is considering a job with Healthfirst to continue looking. Do not be fooled by what is told to you in the interview or by what the company states on there website. I made the mistake and bought into the lies. I normally do not write reviews; however, I feel compelled to write this review in efforts to help nurses make an educated choice. This company will claim they are about employees well being and its all a lie. They are horrific to their nurses. If you are a nurse considering this job, I would completely continue looking unless you want to be a slave to work. The expectations are beyond anything that is feasible. You are instructed to clock out for lunch however you are scheduled with appointments back to back. You will not get a break until 4pm while starting your first nursing assessment for a member at 9:00am. They do not allot anytime for you to eat and make it to the members home on time; as a result, you must forfeit your lunch time. However, you are instructed clock out for lunch even though you are unable to take one as to protect the company from looking like they are breaking any labor laws. You are expected to complete paperwork on your own time. This company will not pay you overtime; however, they will claim they do in the interview. Beware of that false claim. You will work on average 12 hour days and only get paid for 8. You are expected to complete the countless paperwork flawlessly as you are continuously audited and will be reprimanded for errors. Management takes zero accountability for any mistakes or incorrect information provided. The motto of this company is if you don’t like it too bad you can leave because there are so many nurses they can hire is the attitude. Please be careful if you are considering a job with Healthfirst. I wish someone would have warned me.
