Pros

The subsidiary that I work for is fantastic, customer service focused, teamwork, collaboration, fantatstic. However, there are no pros to being a subsidiary of Hearst. They make even the simples of things more difficult. They have horrible customer service and do not put the employees first.

Cons

In a role that does overlap and intersect with various departments at Hearst, it is becoming no longer worth it to remain in the organization with how difficult hearst makes everything. They are not employee centric. They do not see the business units they own as anything other than peosn who should be forced into the way they are told to do things without question. THey are horrible HORRRIBLE at system implementation and building. They do not possess any skills in house for how to operationalize anything. They really bring the satisfaction down within all the business units. So while the business unit may be happy, employees roll their eyes at the mention of Hearst, the parent company. It is quite sad to me, and in speaking with other divisions I am learning that we are all getting to a point where it just isn't worth it to put up with them any longer. It's a strong employment market, stay away from this one.
