Pros
none i can think of
Cons
1. Almost No one wants to work as a team anymore. 2. Some nurses will come out to find an aide after coming out of a room that needs something. 3. When an aide relays issues with patients lots of time not taken seriously or relayed to next shift 4. Lots of complaints about other staff members. 5. Staff members create more work for other staff members. 6. Instead of talking to each other like adults automatically go to management or elevate things farther than needed. 7. As an adult should never be laughed at for stuttering 8. Some nurses act like they are better than everyone else. 9. When aides/nurses are busy with other patient’s nurses and management will not respond to bed alarms or room buzzer they ignore 10. Both shifts should work as a team, not against each other. 11. Has become a nursing home environment, not a very friendly environment. 12. One nurse in particular sit behind the desk all shift even when Nancy is there like she runs the IPU and tells you how good she is barley does meds or stands up can’t even walk across room without getting winded. 13. I believe this is the cause of high staff turnover and call-ins. 14. Our patients/families have the same rights as us and some staff act as if they don’t and get upset when they refuse care no matter the reason. 15. Night aides and night nurses complain and see about the same things on morning shift that morning aides and nurses see happening on night shift. 16. Seems as if staff are going out of their way to try and get other staff members in trouble and encouraged.
