Pros
paid health care for the employee company sponsored events
Cons
Helion misses the mark of what a company should be. They change constantly on a monthly bases on what their requirements are and what you need to do as an employee. They need consistency to build respect from their employees which is not close to being there. They are also extremely vague and ambiguous with what needs to be done to move up in the company. Many of the other reviews on here are truthful and about half of the positive reviews come from a company managed account that generates them. A lot of the things Helion dose, while technically legal, are performed in a gray area and will benefit only the company and top management and leave everyone else just wondering if they will have a job. Helion has a high turnover rate like many call center jobs but they have also lost many people beyond the call center role. Management has completely changed in about a 6 month period with 6 of the 8 managers leaving the company. While this may not be directly negative it says something about the status of the company and where they may be headed. The benefits and retirement programs provide the basics for an employee and do not provide a great package for a family. Some of the managers will take many breaks/vape/smoke sessions and when they are needed force employees to make decisions they are not qualified to make, or should make. They also put employees in difficult situations without help of other team members leaving these employees to make difficult decisions that often leads to them losing their jobs. While Helion will provide a good start to an IT career it will not provide the long term benefits that an established company will. Learn what you can and leave to move on to an actual career not just a dead end job in IT working calls for hours at a time and having that feeling of being overworked and underpaid.
