Pros
Heath insurance is paid for. Camaraderie amongst the department, as you're all dealing with the same problems. Lower level management seems to care, but progress appears to be blocked by higher-ups.
Cons
The metrics you are measured on change frequently, and they use that as an excuse for not having enough data to warrant a pay increase. Company offers lip service in lieu of compensation. Requests for assistance on issues are met with "check the knowledgebase" despite it being absolutely outdated with little-to-no information. Consistently understaffed, and can't hire enough to balance out hemorrhaging employees. With almost 0 chance of promotion/raise, fosters an attitude of doing just enough to not get fired, causing others to pick up the slack, and cycle continues until you become the problem or leave. Having every employee question the security of their job does not create a welcoming atmosphere for progress. Empty promises are dragged on with "just wait" and "we'll get there soon." The pot of gold is definitely not just over the next hill.
