Pros
HelloFresh takes care of its workers. The workers don’t always appreciate it and often feel entitled to more, but I believe they give people a chance to create a decent life. They give shift differential pay for 3rd shift and weekends, $1 raise after 30 days, $0.25 raises every 90 days, gave $0.50 raise on January 2024, and have multiple opportunities to move up for more raises. Overtime pays time and a half, and employees get paid holidays. It’s easy to become a Line Lead, Warehouse Worker, Quality Inspector, etc and get better pay. After 2 years with no previous experience, I make $23/hour before the additional 2 kinds of shift differential pay. Their employee engagement program is pretty strong. The managers give out free snacks or sometimes meals a few times a month for different holidays and other reasons. Benefits include 401K with company matching 100% for first 3% and 50% for next 2%, medical, dental, life, ad&d, personal holidays, PTO, and sick time.
Cons
It is cold (30 degrees), and if you work in the warehouse, you’ll need to go in the freezer which is much colder (3 to 8 degrees) It certainly isn’t an exclusive group of colleagues. The communication around SOP leaves something to be desired.
