Pros
Pay is good and your lower-rung colleagues are helpful and insightful. Most people want to do high quality work and make a difference day to day.
Cons
Where to start… Management makes empty promises; they say they will stand up for you and work to make you work life easier. So far, they have rolled over every time they have an opportunity to help a member of their team. The office politics often get in the way of important progress: operations and engineering are on opposite sides of the building and are often working against one another. Constantly asking people to work outside normal hours to cover for lack of staff, but have an attendance policy that is so restrictive that when you do stay or come in early you get punished for it. Best advice: if you are hourly, stay away; they actively look to punish hourly employees, especially maintenance, at every turn. Advice to Employer: take your employee engagement surveys seriously and stop trying to be Amazon. There’s a reason Amazon has so much turnover.
