Pros

Watching the growth and progress of the students and the relationship with most of the families was positive and encouraging.

Cons

The rate of turnover was ridiculous. Individual teaching assistants were never consistent and there was always a shortage of them. The trust between staff and some upper management was negative at times. I felt at any moment I could be "thrown under the bus". The directors of the school never spent quality amounts of time within the classroom to understand how they function. While working with the students was fulfilling, the job was emotionally and physically draining. There was not a good balance between work and home life.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re so glad to hear that you enjoy working with our students. We know that at times the job can be challenging and we do appreciate the dedication it takes to make a difference every day. We’d like to clarify that our ITA's currently (at the time of this response) receive 3 personal days, paid sick time, and 10 weeks of paid time off for school breaks throughout the school year. We recognize the importance of rest and balance, and we’re committed to supporting our staff in meaningful ways. We truly value your contribution and the care you put into your work. Thank you for being a part of our team.
