Pros
Great pay, choose your own hours, plenty of overtime available. Staff on units very helpful and friendly for most part. Four hospitals to choose from in Metro Detroit area. Great way to find a unit you are happy in if looking for a permanent position. Provides small company match which can add up.
Cons
Smaller hospitals in system tend to cancel your shift quite often. Some equipment outdated in main hospital. Need to keep in contact with staffing over phone to get hours sometimes. There is online scheduling but they are so busy, you tend to get hours you need easier if you call. No ongoing education. Feel left out when there are changes to policies or new products being used because you do not have a set department you are working with.
