Pros

Not much to say...it's close to home for most who work there because no one will drive farther. There's so much turnover that there are always job openings.

Cons

Management is dishonest with company finances, business dealings, handling key issues and constantly brushes issues under the rug. There are no solid HR policies. The best employees are disgruntled and don't speak out for fear of retaliation. There's so much back stabbing and discrimination among the staff that it shows in the poor patient care. Employees are more concerned about popularity and putting down co workers who are "heavier, less attractive, don't drive the popular car or use the latest cell phones" that they don't put effort into caring for the patients. The theme is constantly "that's not my job"... No one wants to take responsibility or action until there's a crisis, in which case, they blame someone else or harassment of hard workers occurs. Medical equipment and technology is poorly maintained yet published as if it's top of the line. Medical staff abuse substances and do unthinkable acts on company time. This I've seen with my own eyes. This is real and there are countless law suits to prove it. Employee benefits are horrendous. You get worse care than what you are paid to provide. Patient accounts and billing are mishandled and vulnerable patients are constantly billed for services they either weren't made aware of or made to believe were covered, only to have to fight a downhill battle once being discharged from the hospital. This place is horrible to work for, I couldn't imagine having to be a patient.

Pros

Some helpful nurses, keyword SOME. Good for gaining experience if you’re new, they hire pretty much anybody with a pulse but you will soon find out why. Management is also really nice here.

Cons

Where do I even start… the pay is so low and it doesn’t account for all the stuff that you have to deal with. You get crazy patient ratios some nights and barely get any help, and on top of that you will have to chart for the many patients you have. The bad nurses are BAD, they are so lazy and it’s almost like they are in a competition to see who can do the least amount of work in a shift. They will call the PCA for every little thing, some will walk past the food pantry to ask you to go get a food item or a cup of water when they could have grabbed it in that time, but instead ask the PCA who is busy. The nurses think that they are not capable of doing any dirty work, and it is honestly so frustrating, they will ask you to walk a patient to the bathroom then proceed to sit in the nursing station doomscrolling on TikTok.
