Pros
HP has some of the brightest people I've met in the industry. They have good (not great pay.). There is always some sort of function to go to.
Cons
Lately, they have migrated towards mega projects in which younger employees get far less experience. It is leading to a much less competent younger workforce within the company. Everyone at each role gets paid the same. There is no real motivation to excel since you'll get the same benefit as the rejects.
