Pros

You can meet some cool people. The people you work with are your support, even if they drive you crazy sometimes.

Cons

Where to start. 1. You're basically on your own, your store I mean. Most of the time you'll have NO cars, so you'll be getting yelled at a lot. 2. Hertz right now is going through a really bad financial crisis. It used to be that you'd work such long hours that it would drive you crazy, but at least you'd get somewhat of an ok pay. they RECENTLY cut overtime, you are only allowed to work 40 hours a week, making it almost really difficult to live on. They are trying to say that this is for the employees, but it wasn't until a recent talk with a manager in Houston did I learn that they're basically making up for all the money they've lost. 3. You might say, or they might tell you, "your bonus will make up for all the lack of income you get" which is true, but sadly, they change the bonus system so much that it's really hard to do that, and for the people that do do that, there's a lot of issues ethically that you have to do. FOR EXAMPLE, giving someone a car that SHOULD NOT be on the road, which happens almost twice a day. A lot of illegal things go on there Another thing, all the good reviewS on here are written by corporate... AFTER THEY WERE VOTED ONE OF THE WORST COMPANIES TO WORK FOR.

Pros

Great place to work in tandem with other professionals in your trade, always had a feeling of "family" working alongside my peers. We come together when times are tough, this is very rewarding,

Cons

The current economic and geopolitical spectrum have been proving a challenge to this industry as a whole, thankfully we are a resilient outfit with the best people at the helm.

Pros

It is a decent place to work with a steady environment and meaningful day-to-day responsibilities. Overall, it's not a bad company to be a part of if you are looking for stability and purpose in your tasks.

Cons

The internal culture is highly political, and professional advancement often depends more on favoritism than merit. You frequently have to play corporate games and kiss up to management just to get ahead or be noticed.
