Pros
There are "some" really great people who care about students. And, it's a great place to get some experience in the level higher than what you are actually qualified to perform. The Online Campus President is fantastic. He understands leadership and is a fantastic mentor.
Cons
Short term thinking. There is very little strategy and they don't give any one strategy enough time to actually work. Apathy. The vast majority of employees are apathetic towards their jobs and are completely disengaged; regardless of what the engagement survey says. Lack of integrity. Senior leadership doesn't understand the concept of accountability. You will be blamed for doing what they've told you to do. Also, campus presidents and VPs spend a great deal of time trying to gain advantage and pointing fingers at each other and other department heads. Bias. Be extremely careful with Human Resources. Make friends with the Director otherwise you will be targeted. People. They don't care about you. You will be paid significantly less than what you are worth. Find a job some where you can actually grow and succeed.
