Try to actually become Caring - Anonymous employee Herzing University Employee Review

I worked for this company for many years. I stuck with it for many years because it was a positive workplace. Over the last few years there has been a turn for the worst. They have not shown care or concern for their faculty members. They add more and more work for adjunct faculty members even though 95% of faculty are adjuncts. They do not respect the time of adjuncts outside of Herzing. One of faculty member's parent's died and they didn't even send a card and this was a FULL time faculty member. What company doesn't acknowledge the death of a parent? They have no sympathy what so ever! They tout a caring culture, but do not seem to care for their own employees. HORRIBLE. They do not consider adjunct pay increases like other universities, yet want more and more manual labor like setting up classes that takes hours. When you compare the salary of their full time professors to other universities, it is low. When students complain they blame the professors instead of taking a legitimate look at the company, their policies, and the validity of complaints, probably because they are losing students. Students complain because they want campus classes and are forced to take courses online and are not told when they register for their programs, caring? They need to take a good look at how they treat their faculty and the communication given to students. Too much manual labor when we are in the age of automated processes.
