Pros

* Varied and genuinely engaging technical challenges. The team had real ownership — driving discussions and decisions with the main site teams rather than just taking orders. Achievements were actively acknowledged, which made the recognition feel real rather than a box-ticking exercise. * Development pace was healthy — fast without tipping into burnout territory. * The company is genuinely remote-friendly in practice, not just on paper. * Good benefits package featuring a solid pension, additional perks through rewards services, freebie merchandise and an allowance for home office setup. * Company culture had a good sense of momentum — monthly all-hands demos showcased new features built over the previous month, giving a genuine sense of progress and product evolution. This was reinforced by the fact that the product was actively dogfooded internally, so you could see and feel the work being used for real, not just shipped into the void.

Cons

* Requirements often weren't properly fleshed out before work began — the team ended up having to take the initiative ourselves to define and lock them down, which shouldn't really be the team's job to solve unprompted. * The company culture is heavily Israel-centric: most teams are based there, with only a handful of remote staff (often 1-3 people) scattered elsewhere. This creates a natural imbalance in how included and informed remote staff feel. * There's a strong expectation that colleagues become genuine friends, not just professional acquaintances. For people who prefer a clearer line between work relationships and personal ones, this can feel like a lot of unwanted social pressure. There isn't really space for the "friendly colleague" middle ground that's more the norm elsewhere.

Pros

Culture, work/life balance, compensation and perks. It is clear HiBob cares a lot about its employees and ensuring everyone feels welcome, valued and set up for success. Customers love the product, which builds confidence when selling the platform. But what stands out the most are the little perks that really differentiate HiBob from other companies: first Friday off after every end-of-quarter, a day off for your birthday, honoring every US holiday, in-person events (sales kickoff, spring event, etc), conference attendance, generous PTO allowance (coupled with EOQ and birthday days off). Aside from all of this, the ability to exceed your OTE is incredibly attainable if you put in the work.

Cons

The US is a growing market so brand recognition, prospecting, networking, etc. is a big focus. However with that is massive opportunity. Sales cycles can be long, but that’s normal for this space. As HiBob grows, there are growing pains for internal processes and how to make things more efficient. But that can be said for any scaling org, and management is always welcoming feedback.
