I started at Hibu in November of 21 and it was decent enough for Corporate America. We had a modest departmental holiday party and I was given my birthday as a paid day off. Nice modest perks. The health insurance was solid. The following year the holiday party turned into some FORCED holiday luncheon that if you did NOT attend you had to use PTO time to cover it because you were not permitted to continue working. Birthday as a PTO day vanished, too. The following year the health insurance became - in a word, bad. In fact, it was often like not having insurance. I had to get another job to make ends meet because I was living in a metro area in the northeast and not really making quite enough. I got Highly Successful in my annual evaluations regularly, and a whopping raise of mere cents an hour! I worked there for 7 years and all of my combined raises came out to less than TWO DOLLARS AN HOUR MORE PER HOUR THAN WHEN I WAS HIRED!
