Pros

I've worked as a Recruiter for High Country over the last three years both on the Perm side, as well as the Staffing side. The owner went out on a limb hiring me without any prior Recruiting experience and then invested greatly in my personal and professional development. This is the kind of place where the owner will bend over backward to make sure his people have everything they need to be successful. I wouldn't recommend working here if you're afraid of working really hard; but if you bust your tail, you will be greatly rewarded for it.

Cons

I was on the receiving end of some tough love at times, but it was always with my best interest in mind.

Pros

Undeniably positive culture, fair leadership, great training, fair compensation, captivating office space, unlimited PTO, prime location, coffee and kombucha on tap... the list goes on. There is a reason High Country has been around for 20+ years and has an average tenureship of 10 years.

Cons

I wish I had one. You have to work to earn money. Some people like money but they don't like to work for it. Can't help people who can't help themselves!

Pros

I worked at High Country for 8 months and only left because I received an offer back in my home state that I couldn't turn down. The people in my opinion are the difference, I can honestly say they care about the people they work with and are truly trying to help. I think it's a unique opportunity if you are a recruiter, they invest in their people but also believe in a work/life balance. My manager and the owner were more than fair and lead by example, there is a reason they have won numerous awards over the years.

Cons

With unemployment in Denver at all time lows it was a tough environment, we mostly did Direct Source recruiting so I felt like we did a better job than other firms.
