Pros

- No egos or prima donnas at this company. - Still less than 50 employees so you'll know everybody on a first name basis. - Very capable senior management that listens to its employees. - A diverse range of interesting problems to work on. Home building is a rewarding and interesting problem space ripe for digital innovation. - First rate compensation and health benefits. Lots and lots of equity. - A practical interviewing process for software engineers. No whiteboarding insanity or useless brain teaser questions. - Offsite retreats to different locations in the US every 4 months are really, really fun. - It's all remote. No more getting stuck in traffic. You can work in your pajamas! - Unlimited PTO

Cons

- Entirely your responsibility to maintain a healthy work life balance. Your home is your office which can make it difficult to switch off during the evenings or weekends if you're on the cusp of solving a problem or completing a feature. - Things move fast at Higharc, which is to be expected for a startup. Ambitious set of features on the drawing board can seem daunting at first. - No 401k match

Pros

I know it’s my job to pitch Higharc, but the product was awesome from the outside looking in and seeing it from the inside has only increased my bullishness on Higharc as a whole. This is a 1 of 1 in the space. There’s a ton of opportunity within Higharc to make an impact in your role - I was recognized for doing good work very quickly into my tenure which was great. I’ve been genuinely impressed with how fast you can move here and how bought in everyone is. I’ve experienced a high level of trust and autonomy which aligns with the kind of culture I like to be a part of.

Cons

There can be some ambiguity that comes with a high level of autonomy and start-up structure. You have to be proactive about thinking through and getting what you need.
