This company, like many other bigger companies, only care about the money they can make. You are just a number with so many people working for the company and there is no work/life balance as you are expected to put more than 40 hours on your timecard each week even if you are salaried. You're also expected to kill yourself to get things done within a much smaller timeframe than you originally let them know how long it will take you. Timecards are time consuming and you have to input every single project/thing you are working on at once and tediously seperating all hours worked on for each one on a daily basis, as this is how the money can be billed to the customers. There is extreme favortism. Management doesn't have your back and expects you to work overtime all the time because they decide to give you many projects that release the same date. Your mental and physical health declines trying to figure out how to get all your over allocated hours of multiple projects done at the exact same time. Management's answer to feeling overwhelmend and stressed is to work more overtime (for free) instead of having them realize over allocating someone 200+ hours should be fixed on their end. They don't even recognize the extra time you put in or reward you for it, as it is just expected to get it done. Teams love to point fingers and blame others instead of working together as one to get things fixed and done. There needs to be consequences for those that choose not to follow the rules or take their time and do something wrong multiple times. Due to this quality is always lacking and they just want you to get things done instead of taking your time to do it the proper way. It's all about checking boxes and metrics and lots of pressure to get that stuff done. The East team in India do not work US hours and some seem to never be online when expected. Many people do not read emails and expect teams pings instead. They also expect you to answer pings immediately because you are to be thinking about exactly what they are trying to ask you about at all times, while juggling way too many projects at one time. The culture is terrible here as you don't have time to learn new things or better yourself, even though they constantly expect you to do other things. You can't keep up with any documentation because there is too much already on your plate, so alot of documenation is always out of date. They do lots of layoffs and there is no job security. If you're lucky not to lose your job, you get to pick up the work of those they let go of because it still needs to get done as they aren't hiring.
