Pros
The only benefit is the benefits.
Cons
Inconsistent and bad management styles. Emphasis is on “get it done and don’t ask questions”, rather than communicating and connecting with people to create a more productive work environment. Promotes those with a history of mistakes to get them off the production floor. Keeps good performers locked into lower level roles because promoting them would mean taking away from productivity. Knowledge and experience do not equal respect and opportunity in the production area -repetitive loudness and bullying do. CONSTANT staffing constraints. Very slow to address known issues if at all, whether with processes or personnel. Very few women in positions of leadership in production. If you are a woman in this environment and you want to be involved and advance your career in production, be prepared to fight every day to be heard and get anything done. Employees must advocate for themselves or hope there is a peer with connections and know-how who is willing to help. Management does a poor job of utilizing employees’ past experiences and investing in potential.
