Pros

Lots of great people work there Work at home opportunities for some projects Excellent management training Good mentorship Nice environment for MBA types Variety of project types if you fight to get them

Cons

Too many VPs and many are not great leaders. "Boys club" environment at the management levels - very hostile work environment when dealing with that level. Not surprised at the sexual harassment allegation in another review. Disastrous management of accounts, often rolling on and off multiple technical resources in constant crunch mode with zero focus on quality. VPs will demand massive overtime only to throw you under the bus for their fail. Corporate training insists that you "push back" on the demands given by VPs but if you do they retaliate with negative project reviews. High turnover of technical people because they get burned out so quickly. Sales pipeline is a bit scary. Sales model is to push the highest cost per hour possible, making price sensitive coding projects hard to close. Death by meetings. Worst annual review process ever. Onboarding and separation process is very loose, to nonexistent Very siloed departments that do not lend well to cross training

Pros

Decent pay, average benefits, some autonomy to get things done

Cons

The entire leadership group that I was hired under was gone within 18 months and replaced but far worse examples. Micro-managing and then threatening corrective action plans as a means to force out those who they didn't like or earned too much. From a technology perspective, the storage products are average and inline with competition, but with far fewer reps in the field and no real marketing or inside sales to speak of, Hitachi Vantara is largely irrelevant in the Storage industry now.
