Pros
Bimyou literally means “subtle" in Japanese, however, it usually implies that something is a little off, and that maybe it’d be better to just do without it altogether. In its previous incarnation, Hitachi Data Systems was a somewhat scattered and chaotic place, but it had pockets of brilliance and optimism. The new Vantara seems to be about trying to stuff the prior chaos and brilliance into a hastily developed org structure that might have worked well in a very slow moving industry such as Automotive or Aircraft manufacturing. (Silo'd PM, Eng, Svcs & Support...) Market opportunities for Vantara are plentiful, but it's not obvious that the organization is able to pivot to meet such opportunities head-on.
Cons
New management appears to prioritize 'showmanship' over 'substance'. Need to have patience for the new org to start firing on all cylinders. Need to tolerate the on-going story about 'digital transformation' which seems fluffy. Questionable future- it's not obvious whether Vantara can maintain level flight.
