      In sales, there are some "dream" positions here. Certain reps are assigned existing buying accounts, they do well on average. Other reps are assigned acquisition patches and 90% or more of them make little to no commission as customers move more and more to public cloud.

      Pros

      Decent pay, average benefits, some autonomy to get things done

      Cons

      The entire leadership group that I was hired under was gone within 18 months and replaced but far worse examples. Micro-managing and then threatening corrective action plans as a means to force out those who they didn't like or earned too much. From a technology perspective, the storage products are average and inline with competition, but with far fewer reps in the field and no real marketing or inside sales to speak of, Hitachi Vantara is largely irrelevant in the Storage industry now.
