Pros

You get a 10 cent discount on gas and free unlimited fountain drinks and coffee while on the clock, but no other discounts for products in the store.

Cons

They will continue to pile more and more duties on you but offer no additional compensation when they do. When I first started, it wasn't amazing but it was doable, and by the end, everyone was overworked and stretched thin. The manager was even fed up and tired of the company and had nothing positive to say. We got email updates daily from the district manager- always negative remarks about how we were failing and needed to try harder, sent to every single store in the district. It was very demoralising to never hear one word for anything you accomplished, just the bad. Even if you make it clear that you are not comfortable working graveyard shift ALONE, they will still make you do it. Even after several stores were robbed, you were still expected to run the store alone. The competator will shut their store if they don't have double coverage! If you spend the night at the hospital and need to call in sick, you better get a doctor's not, as calling right from the hospital isn't good enough. Who thinks to get a doctor note when they stay at the hospital? I have never worked a job before or since that required it, especially if you very rarely even call in to begin with.

Pros

Everyone is so friendly and helpful, support from supervisors is amazing. I enjoy every single person I work with and I love coming in to work and seeing everyone. Many people at the office have been here 20+ years, so it truly feels like a work family. My direct supervisor is a big advocate on having a good work/life balance which is great.

Cons

We are required to be in office 3 days a week, which is only a con because I have a long commute.
