Pros

I worked for HSI for almost 3 years. The only reason I left is because I had a family situation that required me to move out of state for a time. I am really shocked and frankly pissed off by these recent posts and it really seems like the same person or persons just reposting because they are mad and trying to hurt the company. None of these things are true. The company is full of really good people who really love the company and Work really hard to do a good job for the clients. Many of the longtime staff not only had worked there for years but many left for other jobs and came back to the company! Doesn’t sound at all like what these last posts want you to believe huh. Do the executives work a lot of hours, yes. But not all of them and not all of the time. The fact is that it’s a company that is always growing launching new products and new clients and as a tech company that requires hard work and a good team, never in all my life have I experienced better teamwork and team spirit than when Working with the team on a new product launch at the company. As far as not being paid for overtime goes, anyone knows that’s a lie. The company pays staff by the books by the laws. As far as the comments about the CEO, someone is obviously targeting him and it just hurts the company and the rest of the staff. Really sad that people are this petty. My experience with the CEO was that he was an honest and driven guy that had a lot of passion and energy but that was kind to staff. He kept staff that literally cost the company millions because he knew they needed the money and I never heard of a situation where he actually fired anyone even when they made big mistakes or lied to him. He would personally give hourly agents cash from his pocket just to tell them that he thought they were doing a good job. The times I heard him get the most upset was when he found out that employee reviews were behind, and another time when a manager threatened to fire an employee who needed to go home for family but could work from home and said she would. He was really upset for her and apologized for the company and stepped in on her behalf. This is the same owner who would loan anyone money including past employees who needed help. When my family emergency happened he allowed me paid leave and was supportive and never once made me feel bad for needing to move on. A real standup guy. The world is a sad enough place without these lowly petty people trying to make up stories to hurt people. That’s what you are doing is hurting your coworkers. Move on if it’s not for you and find something that makes you happy if that’s possible but don’t just be an immature person and post lies because you can’t come to terms with your situation. And please don’t call yourself a professional if you are going to do this stuff. This isn’t what professionalism looks like.

Cons

Not enough staff that can help at the higher levels. Need more talented managers to help with growth. Promoting from within his good but it must be balanced with fresh professional hires.

Pros

The environment is healthy and comfortable. Open door policy with management is great and co workers are fun to work with. Plenty of help if needed.

Cons

No cons for the company or employees. The only cons that I see in the reviews are personal and dependent on that individual. Their comments should not reflect on the company.

Pros

Underground parking....for management employees only. Cutting edge technology.

Cons

This is - by far - the worst company I ever worked for. I'm actually embarrassed that I was an employee there! First day on the job you are greeted with the fact that you have two 10 minute breaks, a 30 minute lunch and, regardless of level, you punch in and out for work and lunch (even if you are a Manager or Director). You are also told that it is a privilege to interact with the CEO, however you should never go into his office even if the door is open. If you are invited to meet with him, you are told to bring a pad of paper and something to write with and to remain silent until addressed. Seriously? Most CEOs are smart and extraordinarily busy individuals; however they enjoy interaction with their employees. The benefits are a joke; substandard medical benefits, a minimal number of paid Holidays (less than any other company that i've ever worked for), NO 401k, you don't get a week of paid vacation until after a year of employment, and so on. However the real downfall of this company is the culture. The CEO throws temper tantrums and directs profanity-laced tirades at employees. I've never witnessed people being publicly humiliated by the CEO on regular basis until I worked here. HSI brags about having a "no politics" culture but i found the complete opposite to be true. I would never advise my worst enemy to work at this place. It was simply awful.
