Pros
Homeserve has great pay with benefits that fit my budget. This is a place of employment but leadership do their best to make sure that the employees are comfortable and taken care of by creating a positive work environment. I have had plenty of jobs in my day and have never lasted more than 1 year, I just recently crossed over the 2 year mark and I have no intentions of leaving anytime soon. There are opportunities to move up in the company and your supervisor will see to you getting hands on experience to move up in positions as they become available. Throughout my tenure at homeserve I have accomplished and overcome a lot and it is mainly due to the support from leadership. Homeserve is not only a place of employment but a family. Outside of the business needs Homeserve does charity work as well and that says a lot about a company now days. This is one place that you cannot say does not show employee appreciation b/c we are always being fed, having cake, or doing something exciting. I am proud to say that I am a Homeserve employee!
Cons
The business is growing faster than the systems want to work. We need better systems that are able to keep up with business needs. Payment processing and billing issues are causing escalated situations that should not be. Homeserve does not offer their employees with the necessary tools to be healthy. We need our own fitness center!
