Pros

Job is not too demanding

Cons

This is no a good place to work in IT in Norfolk. People yell and call names in meetings and management does nothing. It is especially a bad place to work as a woman as you will not be respected or listened to or given opportunities.

Homes.com Response

First, let me say thank you for the feedback. We look to reviews on sites such as Glassdoor as opportunities for continued learning and improvement. But I have to say that this review does not match what I see or expect from the culture at Homes.com. We take respect in the workplace very seriously. And we would simply not tolerate a workplace where people yell and call names in meetings. We also would not tolerate a workplace where women were not respected, listened to or given opportunities. I want to remind all employees that if they ever were to experience such things in the workplace that they should IMMEDIATELY communicate them to a manager or supervisor--or directly to me. In a situation where an employee is not comfortable doing that, then we would ask that they communicate such concerns directly to the Dominion Enterprises Human Resources department. Again, I want to firmly state that we do not condone or tolerate disrespect in the workplace. The claims made in this review were never shared with me or with anyone on our IT leadership team in Norfolk. If they had been, we would have addressed them immediately. And I ask that all employees help us maintain a culture of mutual respect by promptly reporting ANY instances of disrespectful behavior. -David Mele, President, Homes.com
